Dublin v Offaly

The Dublin Minors put in a good performance to beat Offaly in sun-drenched St Peregrines.Offaly depended on Jean Brady frees to stay in touch in the first half while Dublin were freely scoring against the breeze.

Bebhin O'Neill got the first point, which was quickly followed by a Miriam Twomey goal.Further points were added by Bebhin, Miriam, Mairi Moynihan (2) and Leagh West.

Half-time score Dublin 1-6  Offaly 0-6.

Within 3 minutes of the second half Bebhin O'Neill had helped herself to a goal and a point. Jean Brady was still tormenting the Dublin defence and looked dangerous every time she got the ball but Dublin got on top again-thanks to a brilliant point by Dearbhla Brennan. Goals from Aisling Fogarty and Jacqueline Elebert put the issue beyond doubt.Jacqueline pointed the final free.

The Dublin backs were very solid-Jane Nolan, Jenny Russell and Emma Sweeney were outstanding. Roisin Murphy and captain Aisling Fogarty won the midfield battle.In the forwards Mairi Moynihan,Bebhin O'Neill, Dearbhla Brennan, Miriam Twomey and Jacqueline Elebert were on fire.

Final score :  Dublin  4-9  Offaly  1-9.
