Dublin v Laois

U16B team overcome Laois.

The U16s had a good win over Laois today in St Peregrines on a scoreline of 5 – 9 to 1 – 6.

Dublin were dominant for most of the game and had 8 players on the score sheet.

Laura Morrissey was player of the match and put 4 goals past the hard working Laois defence.

Ciara Casey was outstanding at centre back and Lilly Conway showed her worth to this team with her great distribution of the ball to her forwards.

Laura Kilcoyne, Eilise O’Grady and Ciara Gibbons were in control at the back and laura Morrissey and Laura Mulvey always threatened up front.

Captain Vanessa Boland stood tall at centre field and her clubmate Aoife McKenna performed well on her first start after a long injury.

The workrate througthout from 1 to 30 is the hallmark of this team and this laid the foundation for a good team performance.

Well done to all the girls and best of luck against Westmeath (All Ireland c Champions) in the Semi Final on the 22nd.
