Congratulations to Kirsten Farrell and Beth White, both from Good Counsel, who won the Sophie Brack Cup when winning the under 14 and adult Poc Fada competitions in the Phoenix Park this Friday evening.
Well done to all the girls who took part in this year's under 14 and adult Poc Fada competition held this evening in the Phoenix Park. The weather was good, the atmosphere was relaxed but the competition was very serious.
Congratulations to the winners:
Kirsten Farrell (Good Counsel) won the adult Poc Fada. Niamh Mahon (Faughs/Celtic) was in second place. Ali Maguire (St. Vincents) took third place.
Beth White (Good Counsel) won the under 14 Poc Fada. Nicole Burnett (Naomh Uinsionn) was in second place. Karla Whelan (Naomh Peregrine) was in third place.
Best of luck to Kirsten and Beth who represent Dublin in the Leinster Poc Fada competition which takes place in McDonagh GAA club in the Curragh tomorrow morning at 10.00am.
