Dublin U15 Camogie Development 2015

Clubs are invited to send up to 2 girls born in the year 2000, who  were not on the 2014 Dublin U14 squad, to attend a series of School of Excellence Coaching session and assessments with the 2015 Dublin U15 Camogie Development Management team.

The initial sessions will take place, pitch and weather permitting, in Ballinteer St. Johns All-weather facility (beside Ballinteer Community School, Broadford Road) Friday 9th Jan 6:30pm & Sun 11th Jan 9am. Dates, times and venues for further sessions are yet to be confirmed.

For the School of Excellence session for girls born in 2000, we invite clubs to send up to two girls each, but please only send girls if you believe that player is of a standard deserving of an opportunity to attend, has the potential to be a Development Squad member, has a reasonable level of fitness and can satisfy the minimum skills requirements as set out below –

·         Strike the ball on the run on both sides

          Hook & Block

·         Solo

·         Jab lift on the run under pressure

·         Catch overhead under pressure

Please send all nominated players names and contact phone numbers for parent/guardian to Joe Leonard at joe.leonard@anpost.ie or leonardsjt@eircom.net by Jan 6th. I will contact parents/guardians nearer the time should there be a need to change time and/or venue.

Be assured that the Management team for Dublin U15 Development Squad 2015 will continue, throughout next year, to scout for talented players and will accept reasonable requests to view and consider any players that clubs feel have developed/emerged as worthy of an opportunity to join the squad later in 2015. We intend holding one or two more School of Excellence sessions for girls not on the squad mid-summer.
