Camogie Notes Monday, 12th September

County Board meeting this Monday, 12th September in Parnell Park at the usual times 7pm for the Minor Board and 7.45 for County Board.

Dublin Senior manager: Interviews for the position of manager of the Dublin Senior Camogie team took place last week. This appointment will be ratified and made public during the coming days.

Dublin club championships: The semi-finals of Senior 1, 2 and 3 are scheduled for Sunday 25th September. Replays for drawn games will take on Sunday 2nd October with the finals taking place on Sunday 9th October. Senior 4 and 5 finals take place on Sunday 16th October with the Senior 6, 7A and 7B finals taking place on Sunday, 30th October. Juvenile semi-finals are scheduled for Saturday and Sunday 8th and 9th October with extra time in the event of a draw. Juvenile finals scheduled for Saturday and Sunday 22nd and 23rd October. Under 12 school of Excellence: The U-12 School of Excellence continues this week in the Phoenix Park on Friday 16th September. Due to light considerations all teams 1-4 and 5-8 will take part in one session. Players will be informed of time and details can be found here on our website.

Liberty Insurance All Ireland Finals in Croke Park: Congratulations to all in Croke Park on the excellent running of this year’s finals. Congratulations to our fellow Leinster counties on their successes on Sunday with Carlow capturing the Premier Junior title and Kilkenny taking the Intermediate and Senior honours.

Under 14 National Blitz: Well done to all at headquarters and everyone involved with the excellently organised under 14 National Blitz held at Dublin clubs on Saturday. Thanks to the clubs who hosted these games. What a wonderful and inspiring sight to see these 1,400 under 14 camogie players parade at Croke Park on All Ireland day. Well done again to all.

Crumlin girls in Croke Park on All Ireland Day: Well done to the under 12 girls from Crumlin. Crumlin who played St. Ailbe’s Limerick during half time of the Junior Camogie final. 6 teams out of 265 teams which registered their interest in playing took part at half time of the Premier Junior game.

Castleknock hit the jackpot in Croke Park on All Ireland Day: Congratulations to the girls from Castleknock Camogie club whose performance ensured their club was €5000 the richer from the All-Ireland camogie finals in Croke Park when they won the Liberty Insurance Squad Goals challenge in an exciting final with St Lachtain's of Kilkenny.

The 43rd Kilmacud Crokes All Ireland Camogie Sevens: Well done to all at Kilmacud on the successful running of the Camogie Sevens on Saturday 10th September. Well done to winners – Cup Oulart the Ballagh (Wexford), Shield Gaultier (Waterford) and Plate Brídíní Oga (Antrim).

St. Judes under 13 Invitational Competition: Well done to all at Naomh Jude on the successful running of their annual under 13 invitational tournament and to all the teams who participated in this event.
