Regarding vetting procedures between the GAA and Camogie, I wish to clarify that for the purposes of satisfying the requirements around vetting that the Camogie Association accepts clearance letters issued by the GAA to people who previously submitted a vetting application to the GAA.
A copy of the GAA clearance letter must be submitted to the Camogie Association in these instances and people with such clearance letters are not required to submit a new vetting application to the Camogie Association. This is a reciprocal working arrangement between the Associations.
Any person involved with Camogie who has not got a clearance letter from either Association, and needs such a letter in compliance with Code of Best Practice in Youth Sport, Our Games Our Code, needs to make an application for same through the usual Camogie Association processes.
