U.16's at St Judes GAA

(03 Jul 2018)

The U16 had a squad session Monday evening in the state of the art analysis room at St Judes Clubhouse. There was no hurls, helmets or sliotars involved as the girls were given expert advice on nutrition from Jean Murphy. Jean, from Skerries Harps and a former Dublin Camogie player, is the nutritionist with the Tipp Senior Hurling team and gave advice to the girls on eating, hydration and recovery ahead of their All- Ireland campaign, particularly on match days.

They then got to sample what fuels the Dublin Camogie team as Fergus from the thegoodfoodstore.ie provided some great food for the girls as a break before their next session. This time it was David Herity, and he provided some motivational words as he gave his views on what is required from a successful intercounty camogie player from his experiences as both a player and manager, which apparently doesn't include watching Love Island !!

It was then onto the presentation of medals after a successful Leinster campaign and hopefully there will be more U16 success in their All Ireland campaign over the summer

Both U16 A and B squads will play the following All Ireland group games this month
Clare away on Sunday 8th July
Cork away on Sunday 22 July
Kilkenny at home on Sunday 29th July
