The County Board would like to thank all those teams which took part in Feile Div 2 and Div 3 held last weekend. Both competitions were run off in a competitive but always sporting manner. Feile is special, not just for the winning teams but for all those taking part. Hosting a Feile competition is a huge undertaking by any club and this year we had two outstanding examples of how to make this a special event for all teams. Erins Isle on the Northside and Thomas Davis on the Southside provided the venues for both divisions of Feile. The work which went on behind the scenes by each club prior to, and during Feile should be publicly acknowledged as this laid the foundations for a wonderfully successful competition. Hosting a division of Feile requires the help and support of club members and both Erins Isle and Thomas Davis can be justifiably proud of their contribution to ensuring that players, mentors and supporters will remember this occasion with fond memories.
On behalf of the County Board I would like to express the Boards sincere thanks to Erins Isle and Thomas Davis for going that “extra yard” thus ensuring a most memorable and successful weekend of Camogie. To Natasha Gorman ( Erins Isle ) and Frank Malcolmson ( Thomas Davis ) and the many, many willing helpers in both clubs I would just say……..
Take a bow guys………Great job……Brilliantly done.
