Super Sunday

(17 Oct 2014)

O'Toole Park will house the biggest domestic camogie crowd on Sunday for the meeting of holders Ballyboden St Endas (above) and Naomh Uinsionn (below) in the We are Dublin Senior 1 Championship Final and the clash of Thomas Davis and Portobello in the Senior 3 decider.

Ballyboden St Endas will be hoping to become the first club since Marino in 1996 to win 5 in a row.  Naomh Uinsionn last won the Maire Brady Cup in 2007.

Naomh Uinsionn have been on the receiving end of some disappointing final results in recent years and will be hugely determined with the likes of Aine Fanning, Ali Maguire, Ciara O'Leary among their key leaders.  Boden have been strengthened by the addition of Tipperary duo Julie McGrath and Jill Horan at midfield and their physical power and allied to the experience of the likes of Sile nic Coitir, Orla Smith, Fiona Ni  Chorcorain who won county titles 15 years ago is testimony to their will to win.

Thomas Davis won the equivalent of the Senior 3 grade two years ago when it was known as Intermediate whereas its been a while since Portobello put their name on a championship trophy.  It promises to be a close one.

The Board is extremely grateful to the Dublin GAA for the use of O'Toole Park.  We wish to advise supporters that due to two Minor Hurling championship semi finals on Sunday morning that parking will be extremely limited near O'Toole Park.  So allow sufficient time to get to the grounds for the games.

Admission: €10 for adults with €5 for Students/OAP’S with Juveniles (U16) free.
