Shane O'Brien - Go raibh maith agat

(10 Aug 2016)

The Dublin County Board wishes to announce that Shane O'Brien and his management team have decided not to continue in their roles in 2017.  The Board wishes to thank Shane and his team for their wonderful service to progressing the fortunes of the Dublin senior team over their term.  No stone was left unturned and very significant progress was made in building a competitive senior team - one that can face the future with huge optimism.

The side came within a point of making the All-Ireland semi finals in 2015 and were denied a place in the quarter finals in 2016 on scoring difference.

The guidance, inspiration and preparation that Shane and his colleagues - Michael O'Grady, David Herity, Paul O'Donoghue, Sandra Tarr, Mick Ward, Derek Ryan, Laura McCague and Canice Dowling bestowed will have a beneficial impact at this level well into the future.

The Dublin County Board meeting for August passed a unanimous vote of thanks to Shane and colleagues.

Go raibh míle maith agaibh go léir.

The Dublin Board has now opened the application process to fill the position for 2017.  See separate notice on this website.
