Rules for Adult competitions for 2012

Rules relating to Adult competitions in 2012.

1 HOME teams are solely responsible for ensuring that their appointed referee is contacted at least 48 hours in advance of all competitive games. Match information is available on www.dublincamogie.ie . HOME teams are also responsible for ensuring that match results are returned in a timely manner, as these are used to update our results/league tables on our website.
2 Score difference will be used in determining finishing positions in all leagues in group stages, but may not be used to directly promote/relegate. Should two or more teams find themselves tied on points then a play off will be scheduled by the County Board.
3 After group stages of league/championship extra time (10 mins each half ) will apply in all games EXCEPT in either League / Championship Finals where a replay will take place. All League / Championship finals will be staged at a neutral venue. Semi finals will be Home or Away.
4 All Shield Finals will be played on a “Home or Away” basis as outlined in structures document.
5 For the coming season the following promotion/relegation rules will apply…Sen 1 “ 2 down and 1 up” (Also applies in 2013). All other Leagues (3-7) will operate on a “1 up / 1 down” basis.

6 All weather surfaces maybe used in all League / Champ games but opposition should be notified in advance
7 No adult game can be put back after the scheduled date unless clubs have applied for same in writing to Runai runai@dublincamogie.ie at least 2 weeks in advance. Clubs should also note that this request will not automatically be granted, but will be considered.
8 Fixtures Committee may under certain circumstances reschedule a league fixture but must give each club at least 5 days written notice after which time it becomes an official fixture. Senior 5, 6 & 7 League and Championship will be 13 aside competitions, but the Board strongly urges teams to play 15 a side. Teams must agree in advance of fixture if 13 or 15 a side and referee notified of same prior to throw in.
9 In the event of a team withdrawing from either League/Championship then any fixtures already played involving this team will be null & void. In addition this matter will be referred to The Executive where further sanctions will apply.
10 Clubs are reminded that they are responsible for the behaviour of both their players and or supporters. The sanctions for a player being sent on on a Red card maybe very severe, especially if reported for “striking” and this may result in a 6 match ban.

11 The Dublin Transfers, Hearings, Disciplinary Committee (THDC) have been instructed to take a “zero tolerance” with regards to abuse directed towards match officials. Those coming before the THDC face the real possibility of being fined and or banned as per the T O.
12 Should a match official not be notified of a change of venue/time then the Home club will be fined €40-00, this being the officials match fee.
13 The Board reserve the right to change an official fixture. This may occur if it conflicts with an Inter County fixture or the like.
14 If for any reason a replay is required, the fixtures committee has the right to reschedule on an All Weather and under lights, if necessary. If this occurs in a Championship game then a replay will be scheduled within 72 hrs as we have a very tight schedule to maintain.
15 For midweek fixtures the following will be the playing schedule…..Tuesday – Senior 1, 2, 6 & 7
Thursday –Senior 3, 4, & 5.

16 If a team in either League/Championship withdraws after the competition has commenced then this team automatically becomes the “relegated team”
17 Championship draws will take place at the County Board in May.

18 There is no extra time in either League / Championship games in the group stages. Extra time will apply in the following circumstances………………………
League (All divisions) Semi Final. (10 mins each half). If still tied then a replay will be scheduled with the away team having home advantag. All League/Championship finals will go to a replay with no extra time being played. (Neutral venue) Where a relegation game is scheduled (League/Champ) then a replay shall occur in the event of a draw at the end of normal time.

Extra time will apply in all Championship Qrt & Semi finals (10 mins each half). If still tied then a replay will be scheduled with the away team having home advantage.

The County Board reserve the right to schedule any championship replay 3 days after the original fixture and this will replace the normal “5 day” written rule. As all our championships are time restricted it may not be possible to give each team 5 days notice . The County Board also reserve the right to reschedule any replay under lights and this will occur when Management feel that to extend the replay date will delay the conclusion of a specific championship.

19 The Executive Committee reserve the right to amend any rule, where an error has occurred.
