We headed to Tymon Park again tonight for the final of the feile skills competition. 30 plus girls turned up to put on a display of fine skills. Congratulations to Jenny Ryan will a magnificent score of 183 points who will go on to the national finals to represent Dublin.
1st Jenny Ryan ( Lucan Sarsfields ) 183 points
2nd Hollie McGregor ( Good Counsel ) 173 points
3rd Faye McCarthy ( St Judes ) 166 points
A big thank you to Mary Gibney, Pat Martin, Brendan Cooper, Frank Malcolmson, Seanus Massey, Patsy Powell and all our helpers (especially Deirdre Wade who stepped in last minute to assist with score keeping). Thank you to St Judes who offered their facilities when we were forced to change venue due to the closure of the Phoenix Park.
The skills competition concluded a superb week of camogie and our main wish is that all the girls who have taken part will be playing camogie next year and thereafter. Many thanks again to Naomh Mearnog, Cuala and Faughs/Celtic for going out of their way to ensure everything ran like clockwork last Saturday. The hospitality at all three venues was second to none. Sunday's finals in Faughs/Celtic were run very professionally and it was all the little extra touches by Faughs that it so enjoyable and special for everyone. We are looking forward to next year already when we will be hosting national feile.
