Raheny make history

Raheny made history in Trinity Gaels ground when they edged out Naomh Jude in a titantic battle to reach their first Senior A championship final - the first for any code in the club.

Their opponents in the final next Sunday in Parnell Park at 11.00 will be defending champions Ballyboden St Endas.

Aoife Kelly was to the fore for Raheny who led Naomh Jude by 7 points to 5 at the break.  Tara Corrigan led the response from the Tymon North crew who just come up short at the finish.  Others to shine for Raheny include Ciara Burgess, Siobhan Curran, Shirley Dillon, Martina Byrne and Hannah Larmon.  Judes' Aoife Kelly also performed well.

Ballyboden's defence was key to the success as they managed to hold the Erins Isle attack scoreless from play.  Ciara Lucey was outstanding contributing 7 points while Julie Draper knocked over Isle's tally.
