(02 Dec 2011)

At the request of Trinity College Camogie team Mary Moran will talk on the History of Camogie on Monday 5th December at 6pm in the Museum Building , Trinity College, Dublin.

Invitation extended to Dublin Camogie friends, supporters, players and managers.  Best of luck with this venture. See following letter from Roisin O'Grady, current captain of the College team.

"My name is Róisín O'Grady and I am the captain of the Trinity College Dublin Camogie team.

I am emailing you on behalf of the TCD Camogie committee who have organised a camogie talk to help promote the status and awareness of camogie in the college community. We have a wonderful camogie team in Trinity College which is part of a great GAA family but we have found in the recent years that many students of the college and especially secondary school student do not know much about Trinity College camogie. One of the steps we have taken towards spreading awareness of camogie is to invite one of Camogie's most prestigious representatives , Mary Moran, to come and talk to us about camogie, its history and her involvement with this sport over many years.

We would like to extend an invitation to this event to managers and mentors of camogie around Dublin and the wider area. We would love if some of you could attend.

There is no charge to attend this event and light food and drinks will be provided on the night. If anyone needs specific directions to the Museum building in Trinity, please do not hesitate to contact me on this email address (roogrady@tcd.ie) or on 0857400559

Many thanks,

Róisín
