Irish Sun Sports App Promotion.
Recently the County Board had discussions with the Irish Sun newspaper with a view to forming an alliance for the benefit of both parties. Basically the Irish Sun were offering a complete set of jersey's based on a certain number of subscriptions being received by them.(40) This subscription €12.99 per 3 months (ends after 3 months unless client wishes to keep the app for another 3 months) would entitle the recipient to a sports app which would include video highlights for all major sporting events including GAA/soccer/camogie and a host of other events.
The Board decided to embrace this venture and target our various development squads rather than run a fund raising venture by selling tickets or similar. For every 40 subscriptions received the County board would receive a complete set of jersey's. This would release much needed funds to spend on development in other areas such as equipment or training facilities, cost of trips etc. The County Board are rolling this incentive out to all our clubs and ask that they look at the possibility of getting their own jerseys by getting 40 subscriptions within their own club. All the details are attached and we would ask all our clubs to consider this method of raising much needed funds in the form of sets of jerseys.
