Exciting finish to 2019 Feile Skills at Silverpark...

(22 Apr 2019)

The weather could not have been more suitable for the Feile Skills competition of 2019 at Silverpark. Once again our hosts Kilmacud Crokes left no stone unturned and had Silverpark ready for the action of 2019 with perfect pitches and dressing rooms. Ann Noctor the Kilmacud Crokes magic fairy, once again waved her wand and had made sure there was any amount of Tea, Coffee, Sandwiches and Cakes available.

Clubs from all over Dublin were represented and as usual there was an electric Feile fever atmosphere between the different groups of talented young Camogie players.

Marshalls from the executive and many clubs took charge of the scores and skills on the day which made it usual success it is. Sheena Horgan from Kilmacud Crokes and her team, took over the reins from Barbara Grennell of SOPER this year, she had big boots to fill but fill them she did.

After many different skills done in the morning, Dublin had a joint first place winner of the 2019 Dublin Camogie Féile competition. Kerri Austin from Nh Maur and Sarah Power from Fingallians with Aoibheann Stokes, Lucan Sarsfields just behind them.Congratulations Girls

Now that the Dublin winners (joint) were decided, there now had to be a shoot out to see who would go where, ie National or Regional Féile to represent Dublin. The winner of this shoot out would go to the National Féile and the runner up to the Regional Féile. Both girls had to take 45's...........
After some nail biting free taking the 2019 representatives were announced.

Kerri Austin from Naomh Maur, who after the exciting shoot out sent three frees over the bar to go to the National Féile Skillstar in June and Sarah Power, Fingallians and Aoibheann Stokes, Lucan Sarsfields will represent Dublin in the Leinster competition. Best of luck to all the girls.

Again Thank you to our hosts Kilmacud Crokes, Marshalls, volunteers, supporters, coffee makers, photographers and of course the Girls for making the Dublin Camogie 2019 Feile Skills Competition a huge success.
