Dublin Camogie Referee Courses. SOPER Venue Postponed

Dublin Camogie are running 2 referee courses.

These courses will take place in Good Counsel GAA and St Oliver Plunketts/ER GAA Clubs. Details below:

 

·         Friday 17th of August 2018 in Good Counsel GAA from 7pm-10pm

·         The scheduled course due to take place in SOPER on Saturday, 25th of August has been postboned due to road closures on the Navan Road due to the Papal Visit. Details of the rescheduled date will be posted soon. 

 

This course is designed to equip referees with the knowledge to referee a game in accordance with the rules. The target group for these future referees will be to operate at juvenile U12 to  U16 level and for those over 18 who wish to break in to the ranks of adult club refereeing.

 

All Participants must be fully paid up members of a GAA and/or a camogie club.

 

All participants must be at least 16 years of age.

 

This is an ideal opportunity for current Go Games Referees who now wish to step up to the next level.

 

What qualities are required to become a camogie referee?

·         Good knowledge of the playing rules

·         Be physically and mentally fit

·         Have the ability to remain calm

·         Have the moral courage to take decisions which are correct

 

Places are limited on these courses – Clubs should on send people who they believe have a keen interest in becoming a referee.
