Dublin Camogie Notes –Monday June 24th 2019
LIBERTY INSURANCE ALL IRELAND SENIOR CHAMPIONSHIP
The Dublin Seniors fell to Waterford on Saturday last at Walsh Park.. The girls gave a great display and were a point up at half time 0.04 to 1.02 after a fantastic Kerri Finnegan Goal. They stayed within reach in the 2nd half until Waterford got a goal in the 29th minute and there was no pulling back. Final score was Waterford 1.11 to Dublin’s 1.05
Next up is Cork in two weeks time.
LIBERTY INSURANCE ALL IRELAND INTERMEDIATE CHAMPIONSHIP
The Dublin Intermediate team played their 1st match of the Championship in Parnells GAA and were beaten by Kilkenny. Kilkenny were ahead by double scores at half time, Dublin 1.02 to Kilkenny’s 2.04. Dublin were down to 14 girls after 5 minutes into the second half and did really well to pull back the score to 2.10 v Kilkenny’s 2.17 when the final whistle went. Next up for the Inters is v Kildare at Parnells GAA on Saturday next 29th June
JOHN WEST FEILE SKILLS COMPETITION.
Kerri Austin from Maurs Camogie club was runner up in the 2019 John West Féile Skills competition, proudly representing Dublin Camogie. The standard was extremely high with very small margins between the girls placed. Kerri is absolutely delighted and thanks her club and county mentors for all their help and encouragement. Congratulations Kerri
DUBLIN CAMOGIE SUMMER CAMPS
Dublin Camogie will be running a Summer Camp again this year. Details will be released as soon as venues have been confirmed. Hopefully this week.
