Dublin Camogie Notes – Monday July 30th

Senior Championship

The Seniors will take on Galway in the Quarter Final of the Liberty Insurance All-Ireland Championship at Pairc Uí Chaoimh, Saturday next at 7.15pm. Dublin County Board in conjunction with FODH will be running a bus to and from the game on Sunday for €10 return. North and south side pick ups available. Booking via secretary.dublin@camogie.ie

 

Open Training Session and Aoibheann’s Pink Tie

On Thursday August 2nd, David Herity and the Senior team will host an open training session at DCU camogie pitches just off the Ballymun road from 7.15pm. All players and supporters are welcome to come along and see what it takes to play for Dublin. The team will be around afterwards, to sign jerseys, and hurls so ensure to bring them along. We will have a donation box for “Aoibheann’s Pink Tie” if you would like to donate €2 on the night and who knows , you may win a few spot prizes.

The Senior Team will wear the “Aoibheann’s Pink Tie” jerseys on Saturday as part of the AIG sponsorship with this charity.

 

 Minor Leinster Champions

After a crushing semi final defeat to Wexford on Tuesday night at Parnells GAA, the Minor team turned their attention to the Shield Final against Offaly on Sunday. The team found their stride early and after an outstanding performance winning 5-18 to 2-3 they were crowned Leinster Shield winners. Hard luck to the Minor B team, who were beaten by a strong Westmeath side in their Leinster Championship finals on Sunday.

 

Both U 16 Teams Through to Semi Final

U16’s are through to All Ireland Championship Semi Finals

After a sensational performance against  Kilkenny. The U16’B team beat Kilkenny 5-08 to 1-7 in torrential conditions at O’Toole Park.  Two hours later, the U16a’s secured a 7 point victory over Kilkenny in a heart stopping performance by John Murphy’s side. This is the first time since 2014 that the Girls in blue have defeated the Cats. Date and Time of the next fixture TBC

 

 

 

 

 

U15s Through to All Ireland Blitz Final.

 

The Dublin U.15 squad went all the way to the final of the All Ireland Camogie Blitz at Naomh Peregrines on Saturday but were unlucky to be beaten in the final by a strong Kilkenny side.

 

Adult Club News

Adult 7 games are continuing over the summer.

 

Juvenile Club News

The Juvenile leagues will finish on July 31st, games cannot be played past this date. There will be no exceptions to this.
