Dublin Camogie invites nominations from clubs for players to attend trials for the 2018 Dublin Camogie Minor (U18) panel.
Clubs are requested to consider carefully the talents and attributes of those players they are considering nominating for the trial process.
Dublin Camogie are appealing to clubs to only send forward players for trials who possess the attributes, commitment and dedication required to make an Inter County A panel.
Your club mentors must only send forward for trial a player or players who they deem to have a realistic chance of being in the final 26-27 in the County and capable of competing against the best in Ireland.
Nominating a player who is not accurately near the standard to make the final panel will only prove to be very disheartening and discouraging for the young player in question. We are appealing to mentors not to view Minor trials as a mechanism to "reward" players.
The All Ireland Minor Championship fixtures will commence around mid-February and should conclude by the end of April. Nominated players must be available for the majority of dates between December and the conclusion of the Championship (most especially from mid-January to conclusion).
To be eligible to be considered for the Minor panel of 2018 players must be registered members of a club and be under 18 years of age on the 1st of January 2018 (born 2000/2001).
Nominations will only be accepted from club secretaries or nominated point of contact, deadline for submissions is Wednesday 1st November at 5pm.
Early nominations are requested to give the Management team an opportunity to monitor those nominated players in the 2107 Minor Club Championship.
Note: Club Secretaries will receive notifications regarding forthcoming U18 trial dates - which will commence immediately on completion of the Minor Club Championships.
