Near perfect conditions in Parnells GAA club today for the first of two fixtures. 2pm saw refeeree Aoife Padden throw in for Scoil Ui Conail vs Commercials feile division 5 final.
Both clubs have done tremendous work at underage this work borne out by the fact that both teams made the final.
Neither team was in ascendance at half time with both teams putting in huge effort particularly in defence.
Once the second half commenced Scoil Ui Conail dug deep and with some fancy footwork and flying solo runs they took the match up a gear.
Despite the gargantuan effort from Orla Tucker of commercials the player of the match Therese De Brun of Ui Conail did the necessary legwork and after an extremely close finish it was Scoil Ui Conail who emerged victorious on the day.
In the spirit of feile both captains addressed the opposition's squad with words of praise,thanks and encouragement.
