Congratulations to Cuala who won the Dublin Intermediate camogie Championship Final v Castleknock in a cracker of a game at the National Sports Campus at Abbotstown on Sunday September 30th 2018 in front of a very large crowd of supporters.
Cuala's Blaithin Lane had scored 1.01 and Jennifer Dunne scored 0.01 before Castleknock's Amy Mahony hit the back of the net in the 14th minute with their first score and the battle was in full swing with scores from Jennifer Dunne-Cuala 0.01 at 18min , Claire Murray Castleknock 0.01 at 19min, Roisin O'Grady Cuala 1.00 at 22min , Claire Murray 0.01 (F) at 30 min and a goal by Claire in the 31st min.
At half time there was only a point between them Cuala 2.03 v Castleknock 2.02.
There was a great battle between the teams in the 2nd half. Castleknock's Aoife Whelan levelled the score in the opening minutes with a lovely point and although Castleknock's Ciara Murray scored (1.01) and Aisling Andrews 0.01 it was not enough to get them over the line.
Cuala scored 1.06 in the 2nd half and were on fire in the final 15 min of the game when Sinead wylde, Blaithin Lane, Sinead Murphy and jennifer Dunne scored 5 unanswered points between them. Full time score Cuala 3.09 v Castleknock 3.05
