Games Development Conference

(05 Dec 2011)

The GAA Games Development Conference 2011 in conjunction with The Camogie Association will take place on January 14th 2012 in Croke Park . Following on from the success of the 2010 Conference – which focussed on issues related to the development of the child player – the 2011 Conference will focus on issues related to the Youth Player (aged 13 – 18 years).

It is vitally important that Camogie supports this event as part of the Gaelic Games family, but also to stress to all our members the benefits of attending the conference. This conference covers a very important stage in a Camogie player’s development and will assist all involved with this age group in the retainment of our players at this vital age.

**Camogie will make a presentation in one of the parallel sessions at 2pm on ‘Team Cohesion – Success with Teenage Attitudes’ by Gerry Fitzpatrick and Aoife Lane . We have identified this as an extremely important topic nowadays for coaches so please encourage camogie representatives to attend this session**

Closing date for registration Is Jan 6th but places are limited, so it is best to book early to avoid disappointment.
