Last year, the Board trialled an adult 7s competition in the lead up to the championships. It started in the first week of July and concluded in early Aug and it proved a most popular competition.
The rules are very simple.......
- Panels of 11 players with 7 players on the field at any one time.
- Groups of 4, with one club hosting each week.
- One pitch split in half with teams playing cross field. Every team to play 3 matches. Portable goals or poles to be used, preferably portable goals.
- After the first 2 weeks the Board will rearrange groups so that teams are not playing the same teams every week & teams will find their own level of standard.
- Players, currently on a county panel are excluded. This is for Club Players only.
- All players should be over 18 as a separate Juvenile competition will be organised by Paddy Baker, with details to follow shortly
The Adult 7s will take place every Tuesday/Thursday until its completion in early Aug.
Clubs interested in taking part in these competitions should notify the undersigned stating which grade they wish to enter. (Premier to Senior 7). Normal camogie rules will apply.
Closing date for receipt of entries will be Friday 30th June.
