Annual Convention 2016: Convention 2016 takes place this evening, Monday 5th December, in Parnell Park. It is very important that each club is represented at convention as decisions regarding the future development of Camogie in Dublin will be discussed and voted upon. Each club can have 2 voting delegates at convention. Registration is at 7pm.

Premier Junior trials: Trials for coming season’s Premier Junior team will take place this Tuesday, 6th December in Thomas Davis grounds at 8pm. Players should be in attendance at 7.30pm. Best of luck to all participants.

Minor Championships: What a great Minor championship we’ve had! Congratulations to Ballyboden St. Endas who won the Minor A final championship in a thrilling game v Naomh Uinsionn on a score line 2-6 to 0-8. Player of the Match was Niamh Hetherton (Naomh Uinsionn). Minor B final: Kilmacud Crokes 5-9 Na Fianna 0-7 Minor; Minor C final Naomh Mearnog 5-21 Lucan B 4-1. Minor D final Whitehall Colmcilles 2-4 Ballinteer St. Johns 0-1 St. Judes had a thrilling one goal win over Good Counsel in the Minor B Shield. This Minor championship has gone from strength to strength and is now a very important competition.

Annual Camogie Dub Stars Games: Pencil in Tuesday 27th December for our annual Dub Star games. This annual event has been an enjoyable and worthwhile event to date and is much appreciated and supported by players, officials and followers. All we need is good weather on the day! This year we’ll have 2 games - senior and premier. Teams and venues will be announced in the near future.

2017 Liberty Insurance All-Ireland Camogie Championships: Dublin Seniors will begin their 2017 Championship with a home match against Clare on Saturday 10 June while the Premier Junior team will travel to Waterford for their opening game on 1 July. Senior Championship - Group 1 Clare, Dublin, Galway, Kilkenny and Waterford. Group 2 Cork, Offaly, Limerick, Tipperary and Wexford. Premier Junior Camogie Championship: Group 1 Dublin, Offaly, Waterford, Westmeath and Wicklow Group 2 Armagh, Clare, Kerry and Roscommon

Camogie Association seeks Commercial Manager: The Camogie Association is currently recruiting for a Commercial Manager. Closing date for applications is the 9th December 2016. Check www.camogie.ie for Role and Candidate Briefing Document.

GAA Games Development Conference. Dublin Senior Camogie manager David Herity will be the Camogie Association's guest speaker at the GAA Games Development Conference. The All-Ireland winning Kilkenny goal keeper will speak on ‘Catering for mixed abilities in a games based approach to training’. The 2017 Conference will take place in Croke Park on Friday, January 6th and Saturday, January 7th 2017. Camogie Educational Planner 2016:  Foundation courses aimed at those coaching go games age groups. Level 1 is aimed at mentors of juvenile age groups 13-16yrs. All clubs should be targeting new and existing mentors to upskill themselves in the New Year.  The Camogie Association coaching courses are very practical orientated and fully certified by Coaching Ireland.
