Bereavement - Hanley

(09 Jan 2015)

The Dublin Camogie Board extends its deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Carmel Hanley who has passed away.  Carmel played for Dublin for many years as well as her clubs Marino and Kilmacud Crokes.  Her daughters also played for Dublin and she was the mother of Mick Hanley, CEO, Dublin City FM.

Carmel won 4 All-Ireland Senior Camogie medals with Dublin from 1950 to 1953.  As a member of the CIE club she was a teammate of the legendary Kathleen Mills who enlisted Carmel as a member of CIE.
