We are Dublin Adult Championship Finals - results

(15 Oct 2017)

Senior 1

Nothing much between the sides in the first half. A strong second half showing earned Vincents their third Senior 1 championship win in a row when they proved too strong for Na Fianna in wet conditions at Abbotstown today.

Half time: St. Vincents 0-5 Na Fianna 0-3

Full time: St. Vincents 1-13  Na Finna 1-3

Player of the Senior 1 final:  Eimear McCarthy (St. Vincents)

Senior 2

Nothing between the sides at half time in a game managed by Murphy brothers, Denis (Skerries) and John.(Plunketts). But Skerries' greater ability to run with the ball and retain posession gave them the advantage in the second half. 2 late Skeries goals sealed Plunkett's fate.

Half time: Skerries Harps 2-2 St. Oliver Plunketts/Eoghan Ruadh 1-4

Full time: Skerries Harps 4-6 St. Oliver Plunketts/Eoghan Ruadh 2-4

Player of the Senior 2 final: Alix Buckley (Skerries Harps)

Senior 3

An amazing game this. Faughs/Celtic were deservedly six points ahead at half time and looked to be coasting to victory. But Good Counsel put up a magnificant second half display to leave the game all square going into injury time. Faughs pointed at the death giving them the slimmest of wins. What a terrific and nail biting second half.

Half time: Faughs Celtic 1-6 Good Counsel 1-0

Full time: Faughs/Celtic 1-11 Good Counsel 4-1

Player of the Senior 3 final: Kerrie Finnegan (Faughs/Celtic)

Senior 4

This was an evenly contested game played in a sporting manner throughout. Castleknock just about deserved their two points lead at half time. The players defied the wet conditions playing some very good camogie. An exciting tense second half with great displays from both sides. Just as in the senior 3 final this game was level going into time added on. A point from the last play of the game gave Castleknock the slimmest of wins. Tough on Cuala but c'est la vie!

Half time: Castleknock 1-4  Cuala 1-2

Full time:  Castleknock 2-7  Cuala 3-3

Player of the Senior 4 final: Ciara Byrne (Cuala)

Senior 5

Naomh Ofaf took the honours at Abbotstown in the first of the five adult championship finals played today. Olafs were just two points ahead at the break. But despite fine performances from Ballinteer in the second period Olafs had all the answers to gain a six point win. Ciara Murphy 1-7 and McDonald accounted for all of Olaf's winning total.

Half time: St. Olafs 1-3 Ballinteer St. Johns 0-4

Full time: St. Olafs 1-10 Ballinteer St. Johns 1-4

Player of Senior 5 final: Chloe NíCheallaigh (Naomh Olaf)
