Adult League Season gets underway

St. Vincents 2 - 10  Naomh Jude 1 - 8

Two goals from Áine Fanning in the 44th and 46st minutes for St Vincents were the decisive scores as Naomh Jude matched the northsiders in most other respects.   Carolann Canning had a hand in creating both scores and also found the target with three first half points.

Aoife Kelly notched four fine points for Judes and Michelle Stafford and Tara Corrigan (despite a leg injury) were outstanding in defence for the Tymon Park crew.  Niamh Sweeney also chipped in with two fine points.

For Vincents, Ali Maguire, Danielle Smith and second half substitute Eimear Brannigan were solid particularly as a battling Judes found to the finish and notched a goal with two minutes remaining.  Anita Curran in the Vincents goal did well to deny them a second a minute later.

Ballyboden St Endas 4 - 14  Erins Isle 1 - 6

Orla Smith began the game at full-back and was replaced before half-time.  However she returned to the fray after the break at corner forward and notched a hat-trick of goals.  Ciara Lucey, Paula McGrath, Anne Griffin and Dearbhla Brennan were among others to shine for Boden who led from the start.  Louise O'Hara was Isle's star performer with Valerie Reaney and Anne McCluskey also giving good displays.
